宮島には、お盆の16日朝一番のフェリーに乗って、お団子を持って、ご先祖様をお墓までお送りする風習があります。
In Japan, we believe several days of summer, our ancestors come back to this world and stay with us. On August 16th, it's the day of their departure back to heaven. We made 7 big rice cakes, wishing for their safe trip back home.
