Watanabe Diary

We use Miyajima yaki tea cups at our inn. Miyajima yaki is called "osuna (sand) yaki" because it contains some sand from Miyajima in it.  In old time, when people went on a trip, they brought some sand from Miyajima as a protection and when they returned, they made a ceramic using the sand and offered before kami to show their gratitude.

The rainy season is coming and hydrangeas start blooming in our garden.

There is no bed in our ryokan but we prepare futon when you are eating meals at our restaurant 1st floor.

Flowers make our inn lively and beautiful. Thank you small friends.
